This item was
previously listed by my partner but due to some
inaccuracies in his listing I've decided to
re-start it myself.
This is a beautiful
antique seven stone diamond ring, the diamonds
are set in platinum but the band is 18k yellow
gold, it was re banded at some point and it
would benefit from being re banded again in the
near future to bring it to its full potential.
It is a size K and the diamond measurements are
as follows:
2 x smallest =
3mm
2 x next size up
= 4mm
2 x next size up
= 5mm
1 x biggest size
= 6mm
The diamonds were
roughly cut when they were mined in sierra leone
They are flawed but this goes without saying
with the age of the ring. It is still a truly
stunning piece of fine jewellery. I have had the
ring cleaned recently and it looks amazing, in
the words of the valuer - "If you're going to
propose to somebody THIS is the ring to do it
with"
This ring was
offered for auction by Gorringes auction house
in Lewes but it went unsold, I must mention here
that the day of the auction there was extremely
heavy snow and most of the items went unsold. It
was valued by Ross Mercier at between £800-£1200
and entered the auction with a firm reserve of
£600. However, I have bills to pay and this ring
isn't to my taste and it holds no sentimental
value so the reserve on here is set VERY low & I
will review any sensible offers. I would love
for this ring to go to somebody who would really
appreciate its beauty.
Thank you for
your time.
